This past weekend, The @miners_mayhem sponsored by @adventure365_ski.bike.run took over @kivipark . The event had participants going through a 6.5km mining themed obstacle course which included stepping through tires, swimming in ice baths, climbing walls and ropes, running through terrain and more!
The weather was beautiful and participants had a fantastic time competing while helping raise funds for @ncfsudbury . Congratulations to all of the participants who competed in the race!

This past Saturday was the perfect day for the @braintumourfdn to host the 17th Annual Brain Tumour Walk Sudbury 2019 at @kivipark !
Participants were thrilled to have Ward 9 Councillor @sudburydeb at the event to speak on behalf of the community, as well as Diane McFarlane of the Greater Sudbury Brain Tumour Walk and Susan Marshall, CEO of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. Special Guest, Sarah McCue who is a two-time brain tumour survivor also spoke at this years’ event. Through the efforts of all the participants, the event raised over $25,000 for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped raise funds. Participants enjoyed face painting, a silent auction, playing frisbee thanks to our friends @cambriancollege , balloon animals, and more. Thank you to @cdnskipatrol for providing first aid services for the participants, the Brain Injury Association of Sudbury for joining us, @topperscanada for the pizza lunch, event sponsors Scotia McLeod, @rbc and The Dubreuil Group, and the many silent auction sponsors and individual donor support. Without the support of the many generous sponsors and donors, events like this wouldn’t be possible.
Another beautiful day in the park for our friends from the Walden Mountain Bike Club, who was at #CrowleyLake this morning with @adventure365_ski.bike.run for their Mountain Bike Extravaganza Family Group Ride.

Applicants with their current National Lifeguard certification and First Aid CPR with AED training is preferred. If you’re passionate about the outdoors, love watersports and enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities, what better way to spend your summer?

Lily Fielding Supports Potential Seniors Housing with $700,000 valued Land Donation in Little Current
Lily Fielding of Sudbury has donated a tract of land in Little Current located adjacent to the Manitoulin Centennial Manor and Channel View Apartments to the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands to support their efforts in the development of affordable seniors housing in the Municipality. The donation was announced at a press conference held at the Municipal Office in Little Current on Thursday, July 21, early in the afternoon and was attended by The Manitoulin Expositor staff.
