Happy Earth Day! Today and every day, we celebrate our planet and appreciate what it offers us.

Kivi Park is the perfect place to find ways to balance nature and human life. We hope you can get out to the park today and enjoy the fresh air, connect with nature and give thanks to this place we call home.
Here’s some simple tips to help keep Kivi Park and our planet happy and healthy:
1. Place your litter and any other litter you see in one of our many trash or recycle bins
2. Instead of plastic, bring reusable water bottles and reusable snack bags and containers on your outings
3. Consider alternative transportation; take your bike, walk or carpool to the park
The trails are in great conditions for hiking, enjoy!

@kivipark is entirely led by volunteers and without the donation of their time, hard work and commitment, the park simply wouldn’t be the same. With over 450 acres of land to look after, maintaining the park on a daily basis is no small task, but they take it on regardless. Not only is Kivi Park appreciated by many of us in the community but to the volunteers, it is a place they truly make their home.
Last night, our core grooming team of volunteers received the honour of being the recipients of a Civic Award for Volunteerism presented by the @greatersudbury at the @northernwatersportscentre. These volunteers have made a significant impact on our community and we couldn’t be more proud of them. They are truly deserving, and we’re thrilled to share in the excitement and have them be recognized for their efforts.
Thank you to Lloyd, Bruce, Dean, Brad, Neil, Bob, Scott, Daniel, Myles, Dave, Patti and Ralph!

Congratulations!

Signs of spring at @kivipark include lots of water! We know it can be exciting to see the nice weather and want to enjoy being outside as much as possible, however, we would like to remind our guests to be aware of the water in the park and of ways to help minimize its impact. - Please be aware of any trail closures and respect the closures (currently Bike trail 2 is closed due to water).
- If you see areas with large amounts of water, please feel free to let us know by sending us a message on Facebook with a photo and the trail that the water is on and our team of volunteers will do their best to work on finding ways to redirect the water.
- Until the snow melts, it will act as a roof over the ground and allow running water to pass beneath it. Please be cautious as this can cause the snow to cave in areas. - Please do not attempt any water redirection as this can impact the trails and the natural habitat of the park. - Dress appropriately when visiting the park – make sure you have waterproof footwear! 👟

Take a trip over to @adventure365_ski.bike.run to make sure you have everything you need to face spring this year! See you on the trails.

We ran into our friends from @rainbow_routes on Friday!
Did you know they have walking groups led by guides throughout trails and urban areas all over the @greatersudbury?
Rainbow Routes is a great group to join if you are looking to walk with a group and learn about your surroundings.

Visit their website to find out when they will be at @Kivipark again!
